The X-Files Return To Fox!

The truth is apparently still out there! Fox annouced today that the series will make it's return to television with a limited 6 epsidoe run. A release date has not been annouced yet but we do know that creator Chris Carter along with stars David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) will be returning. The popular scifi series ran for nine seasons and had two feature films. Carter, Duchovny and Anderson have all been very vocal about their love of the series and hopes of a possible return to the X-Files universe, that paired with the shows cult following and the addition of news fans via Netflix and dvd probably have a lot to do the it's return.
Creator Chris Carter made the following statements about the shows limited return: "I think of it as a 13-year commercial break” and “the good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”
Production is set to begin this summer. We'll bring more info on the shows return as we get further details.
