Disney Announces Jack And The Beanstalk Adaptation, GIGANTIC

Today at the the D23 fan expo Disney revealed that their next animated project will be Gigantic, a fresh take on the Jack and the Beanstalk story. Nathan Greno, a director for 2010's Tangled, is set to direct the feature with Frozen's Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez returning to write the music. Greno revealed that they aim to make a "definitive version" of the tale while on stage at D23. He added that the story will follow the adventerous Jack as he helps a 60-foot giant girl named Inma find her way back home. On their journey though the massive world of giants, they'll encounter the Storm Giants, the antagonists of the film. Gigantic will hit theaters in 2018.
