SCOOBY DOO Animated Movie Announced; Aimed For 2018 Release

Mystery Inc. is set to return to theaters, thankfully, not in live action. Warner Bros. executives announced today that the beloved Hanna-Barbera cartoon will be getting big screen treatment once again. The new Scooby-Doo feature will be directed by Tony Cervone, who's previous directorial works include 2003's Duck Dodgers TV show. The film will be written by Matt Lieberman (Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief) and Dan Povenmire (Phineas and Ferb) will be joining the crew as an executive producer. WB's new animated Scooby Doo movie will release on Sept. 21, 2018.
