FIRST LOOK AT THE NEW NIGHTCRAWLER

The first image of Kodi Smit-McPhee as the teleporting powered blue skinned mutant Nightcrawler for Fox's upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse has hit the web. The below image was first released on Instagram by the actor with the caption "BAMF! Guess who?" as well as director Bryan Singer's Twitter who wrote"Catch him before he’s gone.…" the photo was deleted by both McPhee and Singer shortly after.
On the positive side you instantly know that this is Nightcrawler. On the other side however I'm not feeling the "Emo" hair style and the photo looks a bit awkrawd to me for some reason. Thankfully FOX has since released a less awkward photo of McPhee as the younger incarnation of the mutant.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled for release May 26, 2016
