DC'S LEGNDS OF TOMORROW Finds Its Hawkman; Will Crossover With ARROW & THE FLASH

Falk Hentschel of "Transcendence" fame confirmed via Twitter today that he is joining the DC television universe as none other than Carter Hall, AKA Hawkman.
The winged hero is set to debut in 2016 during a crossover event between CW's 'The Flash', 'Arrow', and the upcoming 'Legends of Tomorrow'.
Hawkman's TV counterpart will likely follow Carter Hall's backstory set up in 2002's Hawkman Vol. 4, in which he discovers he is the reincarnation of an immortal Egyption prince. Using memories of his past life, Carter uncovers a mysterious armor with properties that allow him to defy gravity with his thoughts.
Hawkman was previously portrayed by Stargate SG-1 actor Michael Shanks in a previous CW show, Smallville, but his portrayal is considered non-canon.
